I had the students do a few thumbnail sketches to start. A close up of the guitar needed to be the main subject and the keyboard incorporated into the background.

Starting points...

Each student was given a small piece of the same patterned wrapping paper as a starting point for their drawings.

The object is to fill the page and not be able to find the original piece of paper.
